In a unexpected partnership that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Revealed
According to the official announcement, "A mysterious meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of banned ceremonies and fearsome transformations resonate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret group.
The mission centers on "strange tests and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses
The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Extra Content
Players who accomplish the mission will receive an unique katana alongside numerous items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
