Los Angeles experienced citywide celebrations after the Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-game World Series title. Supporters worldwide united with Angelenos in celebration, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Enormous Turnout
Local events included a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Online footage show thousands of Los Angeles residents packing city center avenues, many displaying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the masses, raising the Commissioner’s trophy high.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” the star player remarked through an interpreter.
The procession path concluded at Dodger Stadium, where the players walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and the artist cruising a light blue classic car around the stadium’s outfield.

Festivities started well before the parade, with Dodgers fans lighting flares in the roads of the city center on the previous evening.
The World Series MVP, awarded the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, commented plainly about the victory.

In contrast, Mark Walter received a less warm reception at the celebration. Video footage from the event appear to show him taking the stage to a combination of applause and jeers, with negative shouts punctuating his speech.
The championship acted as a positive moment in what has been a challenging year for the city. An estimated 225,000 people attended to the championship parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, fans this year demonstrated equal or greater support.
“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” he remarked. “These fans are crazy. It’s so awesome to be a part of this.”
