The former Liverpool manager admits a return to lead Liverpool is plausible in theory.

The German coach, who left Liverpool in 2024, indicated that returning someday is an option. Klopp, following a hugely successful near-decade reign which brought continental glory and the Reds’ first league title since 1990, currently occupies positions in a global football capacity with the Red Bull group and as an advisor for the DFL.

Fan Sentiment and His Frank Comments

The club claimed England's top flight under Arne Slot, yet numerous supporters who revere Klopp would embrace the notion that he might come back one day. In a wide-ranging interview, he explained to his interviewer: “I stated I will never coach another team within the country. So that means if then it’s Liverpool...yeah. In theory, it could happen.”

“Being 58, so I could make the decision later on, I don’t know. Do I have to make the decision today? If so, I wouldn't return. Fortunately, no such pressure exists. I'll simply watch what lies ahead.”

What Would Lure Him Back?

Questioned regarding the specific conditions would need to occur to bring him back to management, he confessed he isn't eager to such a return. “I'm not entirely sure, My present work fulfills me,” he said. “I don’t miss coaching; No desire to be in the rain through long matches; I'm glad to skip media briefings four times, three times a week or constant media duties a week.

“I don’t miss the dressing room per se, however, dining out with the team enjoying conversation, is pleasant. With many victories meaning regularly a very good mood in the building. I still have the captain's chuckle in my ear to illustrate.”

Commending Arne Slot

Klopp was full of praise regarding Arne Slot, acknowledging his role for the tweaks which secured the championship last term. Liverpool have lost a string of losses in all competitions post heavy investment, but he rubbished the notion it could be a slump.

“[Liverpool have] a top-class attacker like Florian Wirtz, you will all eat your words with negative comments. He’s an incredible talent. [Hugo] Ekitike, superb talent. They have a strong well-judged squad. You don’t have to worry over the club, they will be fine.”

Emotional Tribute for Diogo Jota

The manager expressed deep feeling regarding the passing of the Portuguese star, a player he signed during his tenure, along with the consequences for the team. Jota died tragically in a road accident alongside his brother recently.

“Who can fill the void of such an individual? This isn't just regarding the player himself, his personality mattered. It's hard to picture the team environment missing him. I find it difficult to discuss regarding this. A devastating blow for the entire squad as well. Nobody at Liverpool will ever use it to justify results though it's a fact. Entering the changing area which he filled completely. Handling this emotionally is difficult. Overwhelming.”
